MSc. Manuel del Monte Martínez, studied a bachelor in Economics and a Master in Sciences on Environmental Planning and Sustainability. Since 2005 he has worked on forest related community development projects around the globe:

Thailand, Laos, Costa Rica and his native, México.

Manuel has worked as grassroots facilitator (community level), as well as Liaison officer on public and private partnerships. He has also founded and developed cooperatives to improve quality and profit on forest related products, such as medicine gardens, timber furniture, coffee, honey, ornate palms, wooden coal, etc. These experiences have brought him to be the head on different strategies of conservation and sustainability.

Manuel is now a consultant on Corporate sustainability and Biodiversity management.
